"I wanted to thank you and your crew for the great job on our electrical updates. Your staff demonstrates a professionalism that is above and beyond what I expected and we are very happy to have had the chance to work with Oak Electric.
We would be happy to provide a testimonial or referral if it’s ever needed.
Have a great weekend and thanks again!" Meagan B. ARRInsurance
"Well, we finally have the pleasure of expressing our sincere satisfaction with selecting Oak Electric for the installation of an Air Vent 24” whole house fan at our personal residence. And, so we just want to take a moment to share with you what an awesome job everyone did. We’re so thrilled with your install work that we’re copying in some key people: The person who introduced us in the first place, Minesh Baxi, the leaders of our referral organization, Chuck Gifford and Al Crawford, and we’re also including the e-mail for the manufacturer. This is because we’re pleased with their product, as well, and we believe they should be made aware of what terrific work your firm does.
From Lisa who handled the scheduling, to Bob Mayes who took Mark’s initial call, to Russell Toth completing the install, they all really are an asset to your organization, and everybody represented you very well. Russell, as your on-site representation, is a true professional. Everything looks really, really good, and functions perfectly: Mark is writing to you enjoying a significant breeze in his home office now (4500 CFM will do that). The project cost was very reasonable in itself, and the added kindness of an LBN discount was “the frosting”. Thank you very much for that.
So, Gary, we want you to know that we will recommend Oak Electric without reservation to any of our clients, and will proactively seek ways of finding additional projects. Any suggestions you have in that regard, we’re happy to hear.
All my best congratulations to your entire team."Mark & Tricia R. TMI Realty LLCevi

Description Of Work:
Oak Electric furnished and installed a complete Photovoltaic Solar power system with battery backup. This included 18 solar panels, a grid tie inverter, battery inverter, 8 batteries, battery housing, and monitoring package. They handled all required paperwork and coordination with Detroit Edison for connecting my system to the grid. They also arranged for the required inspections and made sure that my system satisfied the inspector.
Member Comments:
The sales representative was very knowledgeable, answered all my questions, and provided all the advice I needed. He was able to tell me the pros and cons of the different brands of solar panels etc and to explain the available the tax rebates and how I can get money by selling excess electricity when I have it and also renewable energy credits. The guys from Oak Electric always came when they said they would and took care of everything. They were always very polite and considerate while working at my house. With a house as old as mine (103 yrs) and technology as new as solar which is still evolving, there are bound to be some surprises along the way but the Oak people dealt with everything that came up in a very professional manor and made sure the job was done right. The whole project was totally painless for me.

Installed a whole house generator and hooked it up
Member Comments:
After deciding it was time to purchase a backup generator for our house which had lost power at least a couple of days twice a year for many years, I researched online and checked Angieslist to see who did this kind of work. Oak Electric was one of three I decided to call for an estimate. They responded efficiently and set up an appointment after making sure that I really wanted a generator because they are expensive.
During the estimate Jeremy toured the house and I was asked many questions to determine the right size for my house and supplied all the info I needed. After talking to two other companies I chose Oak Electric. One other company was just as helpful and knowledgeable but gave a higher estimate. The third company which has been in business for many years and has a good reputation and is highly rated on Angieslist, acted as if they couldn't care less about doing the job.
Oak Electric estimated a six week order time (as did the other company) and the generator arrived and was ready to install in six weeks. We set up an appointment and they were here on time. It took about five hours to install. They did stop for a bite of lunch. They cleaned up afterward and explained what I needed to do. They also had to give in to my pesty German shepherd and play toss the Kong with her in between hooking up the generator duties.
Jeremy the salesman and manager came by later to inspect everything and did some adjusting also explained the upkeep on the generator.
I decided to use the no-interest payment plan thru Generac and Jeremy helped me set up the application.
There was a bit of a mixup because I had decided to have my propane dealer add the extra fuel pipe from my tank, but Jeremy talked with the installer and they worked out the final hookup.
All the people I dealt with from this company were more than helpful, cheerful, efficient, friendly, and easy to contact. MIchelle the telephone contact, the installers, and Jeremy.ort Da

Description Of Work : I had a new circuit breaker box put in to replace 80 year old wiring that was starting to fail. All of the wiring from the end of the utility wiring, down the side of the house, and inside to the circuit breaker was replaced and updated.
Member Comments : Garrett, from Oak Electric was fantastic. I went with this company because of the high ratings on Angie's list and the fact that they thought they could come out that day (my power had failed in half the house. They were very honest about trying to squeeze me in and called a few hours later in the day to say that Garrett would definitely arrive that day. He arrived within 30 minutes of their estimated time. He evaluated the situation and said it would take a full day with two electricians. They were able to come out the next day and do the work. Since I opted to have them do the repairs, they waved the $150 fee for the evaluation visit (even though Garrett had tinkered around enough to restore my power temporarily. Garrett called me Friday morning to tell me when they would arrive and they were very prompt. Garrett and his colleague (whose name escapes me, John maybe?) worked their tails off all day. They were in my house for almost 9 hours, including a lunch break. The wiring looks fantastic and the electricity has been stable since. They kept me informed about what was going on throughout the day. I also asked them about costs to have my kitchen rewired since it is all on one breaker, which blows if I use the toaster and microwave simultaneously. Garrett assessed the situation and then said that he didn't think it was worth it unless I was redoing the whole kitchen so that they would have access into the walls. That is a true mark of honesty to me when a service professional recommends against repairs due to cost. I didn't get other estimates so I can't comment on whether I could have gotten the job done for less, but I am very pleased with the results and the amount and technical aspects of the job make the price seem reasonable to me.
